Why we exist

Rational Times is an independent news organisation covering the world, India, politics, business, technology, science, climate, health, sport and culture. We were founded in 2026 on a simple belief: that the most important stories deserve a second look, and that readers are best served by facts, context and fair argument rather than noise.

What we promise

  • Accuracy before speed. We would rather be right than first. Every report is checked before it is published.
  • Clear labels. News, analysis, opinion and sponsored content are always marked so you know what you are reading.
  • Sources you can see. Where we rely on other reporting or documents, we say so and link to it.
  • Open corrections. When we get something wrong, we fix it and tell you.
  • Independence. No advertiser, owner or politician decides what we cover or how.

Our newsroom

Our desk works with correspondents across India and around the world. Every correspondent is verified, carries a card that anyone can check on our verification page, and signs our code of conduct.

Contact
